Whether you’re traveling for work, on vacation, or booking an extended stay, it can be hard to stay active when you’re on the go and away from home. At Town & Country Inn and Suites, we know the importance of doing your best to live a healthy lifestyle. We offer the following amenities and resources to help you stay active on the go.

Fitness Center

All guests receive free access to our fitness center when they book a stay with us. The fitness center offers cardio machines, an adjustable bench, and various sized weights to provide you with options when it comes to working out. The convenient location of our fitness center allows our guests to complete a full body workout without ever having to leave the facility.

Indoor Pool

Swimming is a great way to increase your heart rate while decreasing impact stress on your body. Even a 15 to 20 minute swim can be an effective cardio workout. If you’re a beginner, start with relaxed laps around the pool. They don’t have to be fast laps, but be sure to engage as many muscles as possible while you’re swimming. Bicycle pedaling is another great pool exercise. While in the water, rest your elbows on the side of the pool and begin moving your legs like you’re pedaling an imaginary bike. You should feel your legs, core, and arms engaged in this exercise.

Spacious Rooms

Don’t feel like leaving your room? No problem! Our spacious hotel rooms offer plenty of room to do indoor exercises that don’t require any equipment. Take advantage of our free Wi-Fi to watch workout videos on your phone, or tune in to an exercise program on your room’s flat screen TV. For additional in-room workouts, you could try:

  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Sit-Ups
  • Push-Ups
  • Wall Sits
  • Leg Lifts
  • Stretches

If you do choose to workout in your room, please be mindful of the guests around you. Exercises that produce a lot of noise (like jumping jacks) are probably best performed in our fitness center or outdoors.  

Convenient Location

Speaking of the outdoors, our hotel is located within a seven minute drive to one of Quincy’s most active parks. Wavering Park, located on North 39th St and Wavering Park Rd, is the first of two parks in that area. It offers a playground and baseball/softball diamond. Moorman Park is located a little farther up the same road and offers various other activities (weather permitting), such as: mini golf, batting cages, paddle boating, kayaking, disc golf, sand volleyball, tennis, playground equipment, and bike rentals.
